SummerFest returns for the third year in a row to Ossining on Friday, July 27.  This popular event, a collaboration effort of The Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce, Events by Omar, and dozens of local sponsors, supporters and volunteers is an evening dedicated to celebrating community, commerce and the arts in historic downtown Ossining with a variety of events scheduled from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.  The opening ceremony, scheduled to begin at 6:00 P.M. will kick off with a patriotic salute including the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of the National Anthem along with short greetings from local & state officials. SummerFest is being heavily promoted and excitement is building with many signs posted around town, ads in local publications, internet presence and commercials on the radio. Everywhere you go in Ossining, people are talking about SummerFest!

Festival attendees can expect non-stop live entertainment and music on 2 stages featuring a chance to:

·         Rock out with Bands: Left in the Attic, Thrown Together & Deadweight Burden

·         Enjoy the talent of a showcase of local musicians & song writers: Tiffany Lopez, Juan Malpartida,

            and Dr. Sherry.

·         Dance along with: Josie’s International School of Dance (Featuring Salsa, Flamenco, Zumba,

      Tango, Capoeira & More!)

·         Party with: DJ Johnny G from DJ Johnny, LLC & DJ Tony C from TC Entertainment,

            concluding the night with a dance party & professional light show!

Self Expression @ Ossining SummerFestà Local teachers & community members will host a “Black-Top of Expression”, in a sectioned off part of the Market Square parking lot to allow children of all ages to express & share their creativity using chalk & washable paints.  Local artists will also be represented at Ossining Arts Council & Arts Westchester  booths.

Shop Local Day in conjunction with Ossining SummerFestà The Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce & OJH Productions Co., have teamed up with fellow chamber members to host a day of promotions, specials, discounts & offers at area stores, restaurants, shops & more! Children’s Attractionsà Professional inflatable company will be set up with a variety of rides, and carnival games.

3^rd Annual Ossining SummerFest Set for

Friday July 27^th in Historic Downtown Ossining, NY.

Celebrate! Experience! Shop! & Dine! All in one place!

Ossining, NY, Friday July 6^th 2012:  The Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce and Events by Omar, a division of OJH Productions Co., is gearing up for one of Westchester’s fastest growing summer celebrations & festivals: Ossining SummerFest. Downtown Ossining’s Market Square & Municipal Parking lot will be transformed into a festive, fun summer celebration on Friday July 27^th (Rain Date: Saturday July 28^th) from 4:00PM to 10:00PM.

This year there will be 2 live music and entertainment stages, ranging from pop, punk, classical to contemporary bands and dance performances to make the evening one of food, fun, and family. A dance party & light show will conclude the evening’s festivities at 9pm. Also featured will be a variety of exhibitor booths, vendors, food, children’s attractions and specials at participating Ossining businesses.
